Travel between Orly and Charles De Gaulle

I am having difficulty trying to decide where to land when flying from Naples. I be leaving Naples on July 20th, and flying home from Paris (CDG) at 10:15am on July 21st. I can fly easyjet for really cheap on July 20th, landing at Paris Orly at 11pm, or I can fly to CDG earlier in the day for twice the price. Does anyone know approximately how long it would take to get from Orly to CDG? would you advise that I book a hotel at Orly the night I arrive and transfer to CDG early the next morning or should I do it when I land at 11pm the night before? Or should I just avoid the hassle and pay the extra cost to fly directly to CDG??

Any info would help!

Thanks

Air France has bus service from ORly to CDG, but the last but is at 10:30PM and the first at 6:30AM. I think the transfer time could run you around an hour, maybe a bit less at night.

At night your only real options would be to take a taxi or the Metro (take OrlyVal to Chatelet, then switch to the RER to go to CDG). The taxi might cost 70€-80€.

Just wanted to bump this thread as I am leaving in 2 days and have yet to book my hotel in Paris for July 20th.

Looking for some expert advice:

My plane arrives at Orly at 11pm on July 20th and I fly out of Charles de Gaulle to Toronto the next morning at 10am. I am looking for some advice as to if I should book a hotel near Orly (for a lot less then CDG) and take a taxi or metro early morning to get to CDG by 7:00am. Or should I book a hotel near CDG, and have the peace of mind knowing that I don%26#39;t have to wake up and find my way to CDG? (which would probably mean taking a taxi the night before $$ and paying about double for a room near CDG)

Any tips? advice? please help!

Thanks

I would definitely stay at CDG that night. The less between you and the plane, the better, come morning. Whatever happens getting there the night before, including the uncertainties, you can sleep it away on the plane home. I would take public transportation across town, and your hotel%26#39;s airport shuttle from the RER station. The only risk (not trivial) would be that the easyjet flight could be late. In that case, take one of the Orly-CDG shuttle transfers that runs throughout the night.

If all you need is a bed that night, the Formule1 and Etap are the cheapest hotels at CDG. They are clean, modern, but minimum.

Shame to spend much of the money you saved by flying easyjet, to do all this. The romance of travel...

Thanks Firewind, I just booked Formule 1 as per your suggestion, only 34 Euro for the night! I was concerned that there would not be a shuttle running from Orly after 11pm, that is great that they run all night, should be nice on the wallet.

Thanks again for your help

I%26#39;m off to Paris tomorrow!

For the RER, take the short automated (tram) %26quot;OrlyVal%26quot; to the Antony station. From there, take the RER B3 to CDG. Antony is not the end of the line, so be sure you take the B3 for CDG. The last train is at midnight. Between 00:30 and 5:30, walk over to the Aerogare d%26#39;Orly Sud, and take the %26quot;Noctilien%26quot; N120 bus for CDG, and get off at any CDG terminal.

%26gt;%26gt; I just booked Formule 1 as per your suggestion %26lt;%26lt;

Formule 1 is really bottom-line, with no private bathroom. Just so that you are aware !
