flights from london to dordogne

we are trying to get from london to Brive, france on the 24th of june, 2007 by early afternoon. any idea the least painless way to go??? Ryanair seems to only have flights in the evening...is Bergerac the closest airport? One thought is to fly to paris and take the train...certainly there must be an easier way?

Bergerac is the closest airport, but not by much. Limoges and Rodez are only a few km farther from Brive and Ryanair flies to both. EasyJet flies to Bordeaux, about 200 km from Brive, from Luton. If you wil be returning to London you might also look for BA or AF flights to these airports, though at best probably only Bordeaux will have non-stop flights, abd even it may not.

It takes over four hours to get from Paris to Brive by train. Allowing for the one hour time difference, any plane/train routing, if it can even be done, would mean a *very* early start from London.

It probably doesn%26#39;t help that 24 June 2007 is a Sunday if I am not mistaken.

Hi

The fast train from London goes direct to Brive now and I think Toulouse also

The Info from Irishrvr is not completely correct, Limoges is a lot closer to Brive than Bergerac.. You can drive from the airport in Limoges to Brive in 40 minutes, or a train which takes about 30 minutes
