Do we need a licence/permit for busking in Lyon??

My 2 sisters and I are travelling to Europe for a busking tour in July. We are planning a stop in Lyon, France and are not sure if we would need a licence/permit to busk there? If so, how much and how would we go about getting on? How long do they take to get?

Also, any location recommendations or other advice you could give us would be very appreciated!!

Here is a lits of all other places we are going in Europe - if you are able to advise on licences for any other places too, that would be fab! Or please recommend any other cities/towns or whatever we could go to...

Calais, France

Antwerp, Belgium

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Osnabruck, Germany

Salzgitter, Germany

Berlin, Germany

Dresden, Germany

Prague, Czech Rep

Vienna, Austria

Klagenheim for the world body-painting festivals (18th-23rd July)

Milan, Italy

Geneva, Switzerland

Lyon, France

Annecy, France

Dijon, France

St Dizier, France

Many thanks!

Not quite sure of the answer, but I think that you need a permit to sing/play in the Métro in France, but not in the streets.

Best locations are :

- in the old city, place Saint Jean or Place du Gouvernement

- in the city center, in the pedestrian streets : rue de la République, place Bellecour, Place de la République or in front of the Opera House.
