hey. i am a student and i am going to Montpellier to improve my french with two friends. we want to go somewhere safe but fun and welcoming.. is Montpellier a good idea? it looks beatiful but i am worried about finding a job there as im not fluent in french.
i have looked up apartments to stay in nd the best i can find is a house for 2100 euro for 5weeks. is this a reasonable price? there could be 4 of us staying in the house so it would be 105 each a week. we only want somewhere basic to ty!! can anyone give me an insight into nightlife etc of Montpellier and are the university students finished fo the summer??

Job opportunities are slim in Montpellier as it suffers from high unemployement and a large college crowd trying to get the jobs. However ,during the summer there is more seasonal employment due to the beach crowd. Not sure why you couldnt find an apartment in the city center. There should be some for rent.
