Driving from Rennes to St Jean de monts

Hi. I%26#39;m travelling in July to Le Bois Masson. Flying into Rennes and hiring a car. Any tips on journey to St Jean de monts would be so appreciated as this is our first camping holiday and we are travelling with 3 children. Thanks.

It is a straightforward journey from Rennes to Nantes via the dual carrigeway N137. Make sure you take the ring road anti clockwise around Nantes (follow the signs to Nantes airport will see you right). Don%26#39;t go into Nantes town or you may get hopelessly lost.

You need to leave the ring road at junc 52 and pick up the D751 to Bouaye. Shortley after, take the D758 to Beauvoir sur Mer then D51 to St Jean. Mainly quiet roads after Nantes with little traffic.

St Jean is an excellent place for family holidays with great beaches and a good climate. Try the %26quot;Passage du Gois%26quot;, a concrete causeway to the Ile de Nourmoutier, only passable at low tide - enquire locally. Great fun!

What ever you do , do not miss the turn off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did last year and spent 2hours driving through nantes, its not that difficult, you just drive straight through the town, no turning required, it took ages due to the building of the new tram way. just take your time, its easy
