Hello:
Has anyone stayed at Mas des Romarins lately and can comment about their experience?
For some very odd reason a room with a window is more expensive than a room with a private terrace (both on first floor) and I am totally puzzled.
Many thanks for your input,
Anna

I realize that I may be a bit late with this response...
My husband and I stayed in at Les Romarins in May, and are returning again this April/May to the same room!
The reason the %26quot;window%26quot; rooms are more expensive is because of the view they offer of the village -- remember that the first floor in France refers to the English 2nd storey. (1st floor is rez chausee) The rooms with private terraces don%26#39;t always look over town - rather, on to the surrounding buildings/courtyard. We stayed in the Lourmarin room which has a marvelous view of Gordes, a lovely bathroom, and ample room for the both of us. Although not luxurious by any standard, it was very pleasant and well worth the 147 Euro/night including breakfast for 2.
I can%26#39;t recommend it enough.
Enjoy!

This post will serve to follow-up with my original question and the kind response of a fellow-member. It is now a year after our stay at the Romarins and I would highly recommend this lovely place for a base in the Luberon region of Provence.
What very frequently happens on the travel boards is that one person posts a question, one or several respond, and then the original poster never returns to comment following the trip and to continue the information exchange.
Hence, I am continuing here. Again, the Romarins is a very nice and a reasonable option for the Luberon and I welcome all members to read my review of the hotel and contact me with any specific questions.
