I just booked a weeks stay at this hotel in Sarlat, there are only 3 reviews here on tripadvisor, all good, but I would still like some more input about this hotel since it%26#39;s expensive and we%26#39;re staying so many days. Any information will be appreciated.

We stayed in this hotel for five days end-May 2007 and enjoyed our stay. The kudos cited in previous reviews are well deserved. Great location, easy walk to Sarlat center, friendly staff ( Caroline in particular was very helpful), the rooms were well-appointed with all the amenities including wonderful shower and comfortable bed. The only thing I would change if I were to do it over again would be the room itself. We opted for one of the %26quot; Charme %26quot; rooms and received the one on the third or top floor. With the slanted roof, the available space was quite compacted...it was easily the smallest of the 11 rooms available.
Breakfast at 20 Euros was not for us--the previous poster%26#39;s recommendation on going to the local patisserie towards town for a croissant and then coffee/tea across the street was perfect---we like to have our main meal at noon and a light breakfast is preferred.
We did have a nice dining experience at Le Quatre Saisons, a fine restaurant that I would highly recommend.
This is a beautiful area of France and Sarlat is a treasure. We had a wonderful time there and hope you will too.
If we can be of any other assistance, don%26#39;t hesitate to ask.
