Does anyone know if the prepaid Visa gift cards are accepted as credit cards in restaurants, stores and ATMs in Paris? We were thinking of taking them (to keep ourselves in line with budget.).

You should check a Visa gift card site -- I think some are only good in the US (although I may be thinking of the ATM feature that%26#39;s available on some cards).

Too many fees to load the card, use the card and empty the card. Just use your ATM/debit card. And I%26#39;ve seen small print on some version that said card was only good in US, but not true for all of them. It%26#39;s too much bother and not a good deal at all.

Give them a call and ask some questions.
Ask about international use and read the fine print.
There is a fee to load them and a fee to use them and a fee to empty it. To be honest I would not use them.
But decide for yourself.
