What to expect in November

We have traveled as a family to Europe several times in the past few years. Our current trip plans revolve around a week in Paris in mid-November 2007. We have been there before in early October, but never this far into the fall. Can someone give me an idea of what to expect in terms of weather? I understand it will be cold, and that is fine (we are from Los Angeles and the thought of cool weather at that point is a relief!) but does it ever snow then?

And are there Christmas decorations out at that time? It would be fun to get the Christmas feel without the high holiday prices!

Also, will the Eiffel Tower have the ice skating rink at that time? I also remember someone mentioning an ice skating rink somewhere else that was nice...anyone know which one that is?

Thank you for any input.

In the good old days when Europe had four seasons the November weather would have been predictable. Paris would be cold with the possibility of rain etc.

Last winter was unseasonably warm - so who can tell. Pack layers of clothing so you can adapt to a variety of weather conditions.

It is likely that the Christmas decorations will be up but official lighting up is usually the 1 December

The weather in Europe is very unpredictable these days- we have floods in the UK at the moment, June, mid-summer! November in Paris will be quite cool I would think, and be prepared for rain. Unlike the Uk, where Christmas is just a mad whirl of shopping and spending from about September, they start later in France and I don%26#39;t think you will see much in Paris to do with it in November. Paris is a lovely city all the year round, you will enjoy it. But it is expensive, like London, especially as the dollar is at such a low rate at present.
