how do I get from terminal 3 to terminal 2 at CDG?

I have to meet my husband and I%26#39;m arriving at terminal 3 and he%26#39;s arriving at terminal 2. Which place would be the best meeting spot? How easy is it to get to terminal 3 with my 14 year old daughter. I am so worried we%26#39;re going to get lost. Please give me some good advice.

Obviously you%26#39;re flying Zoom or Air Transat ... welcome to Paris low-cost terminal !

Terminal 3 would be the /easiest/ meeting spot (it%26#39;s tiny and there is only one arrival room). There is a driverless train between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3-Roissypôle. From the latter station, it%26#39;s a short walk (300 m) to Terminal 3 itself.

But it%26#39;s definitely not pleasant - no sitting area, few cafés, etc...

It is very difficult to meet at a different terminal as planes tend to land at a different time than the one announced.

Could you meet at your destination instead of waiting at a terminal?

Terminal 2 has several terminals i.e 2A, 2C etc...

Terminal 3 is easier as it is smaller but not a good place to spend time with all the low cost and charter flights. Crowded and little comfort. Maybe a rental car counter in terminal 3?

our apartment is close to Les Invalides and we were going to take a cab together, seeing as our flights are scheduled to be 40 minutes apart. I land first next thursday at 10:10 a.m. terminal (3) and he lands at 10:50 a.m. (terminal 2). It would make more sense that I meet him at terminal 2, but if you tell me it%26#39;s a zoo a terminal 2, I will stay put at terminal 3 and wait for him.

And is taxi our best option at that time of day. I guess by the time we get our luggage, we%26#39;ll be talking the cab at around 11:30 a.m. if all goes well. How%26#39;s traffic at that time to get to that area. Is it better to take the air-france bus to gare montparntnasse and metro to sevres-lecourbe station, where we will be?

Which airline is your husband flying on ? Depending on which subterminal he is arriving at, it might be more convenient for you to reach Terminal 2. (It /might/).

|||

My husband is flying air canada, arriving terminal 2 and flying air transat arriving terminal 3.

|||

Arriving Terminal 2A, then (the A is important).

- your Air Transat flight will not come to an apron (there is no apron at T3 to begin with...), you%26#39;ll deplane on tarmac and will be bussed to the terminal building.

- Luggage delivery may take some time.

(I was on that flight two weeks ago).

If you want to meet your husband, turn right when exiting the terminal 3 arrival hall, walk past the building, walk under the tunnel and cross the road to the train station. Take the free shuttle to Terminal 2, follow the signs to 2A, (that will involve going through 2C all the way), go to the specific arrival gate and greet him.

The reverse applies if your husband wants to meet you at Term 3.

As for the remainder of your airport journey :

- there is no AF coach stop at Terminal 3.

- The AF bus will leave you at Gare Montparnasse on the Rue du Cdt Mouchotte. You%26#39;ll have to enter the station, go down to the Métro concourse, and take the Line 6 train. Not really convenient, if you ask me.

- RER B to Denfert-Rochereau and Line 6 therefrom is a better choice IMO. Or, alternatively, AF bus + taxi for the short remaining leg.

- There should not be major traffic at 11.30AM.

when you say meet him at the arrival gate, do you mean at the arrival carousel? And does Air-Canada alway arrive at terminal 2A, because on my ticket it doesn%26#39;t specify. The other thing is, It looks like even though I am arrving earlier than him, it may take me longer to get my luggage than him, so we may end up at the same time, if we%26#39;re lucky. How long would you estimate it would take to do the transfer from terminal 3 to 2, walking under the tunnel and taking the shuttle to terminal 2?

I really really appreciate all this help!

You can%26#39;t access the arrival carousel from the public area, since it is located within the customs-controlled area. You have to wait at the arrival gate, which cannot be described better than a double automatic glass gate.

Yes, Air Canada always operates to/from 2A, unless exceptional circumstances. (They will certainly be moved to T1 in 2008).

I%26#39;d say 20 to 30 minutes from terminal 3 to terminal 2A (allowing for walking and idle time).
