I am looking for recommendations on a good value hotel that is close to most of the %26quot;normal%26quot; tourist attractions that people would want to see (Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, Notre Dame etc..) or at least close to a Metro station that is easy to get to.
I%26#39;m not looking for the cheapest hotel, but it doesn%26#39;t have to be the fanciest either. Just something that is clean and a good location.
Thanks in advance!

I think you should be more specific about your budget because there%26#39;s a very wide range of hotel prices in Paris.
We stayed at the Britannique, which is very centrally located in the 1st district, very close to Ile de la Cite, where Notre Dame is situated. We truly loved being so close to the Seine, and we found the hotel to be very charming. Furthermore, it%26#39;s across the street from the Chatelet station, where you can get several metro lines.

What would be a reasonable amount? If I was to say 100 US, is that too low? Is it even possible to get a hotel with the specifications that I asked for, for that amount?

If I%26#39;m not mistaken, $100 is considered low or budget. However, hotels in that price range do exist, but you%26#39;ll have to do a search to see what%26#39;s available. Try typing in %26quot;budget hotels%26quot; in the search box on the upper left and see what you come up with.

The dollar is at a very low point again European currencies. Several years ago $100 was sufficient to find a room in a large number of good hotels.
I now recommend 90 -120 euros for a budget double room ($120-$160 at current excange rates).
You do no mention the time of year you are traveling. Some hotels discount their rooms in August.

Royal Magda Etiole is really good and located at the Arc du Triomphe. 2 minutes walk from the Metro - super clean and friendly as well as being quiet. Check out the reviews on here. Prices are not really cheap - but are still reasonable and great value for money.
We were there last week and were really impressed.

Hi Superstar, My partner and I arrived back home in UK from Paris just yesterday. We stayed at the Eiffel Park Hotel in Rue Amelie in the 7th. This is part of ther best wewstern group. It was clean, convenient, friendly, 24 hour reception. We payed 422 euro for 4 nights stay, but we booked 5 months in advance which entitled us to a discount. We didn%26#39;t have breakfast included but if you choose to, you can eat on the roof terrace when the weather is fine. You can also upgrade to a superior room.
It was close to Eiffel tower, Trocadero, Ecole Militaire and Invalides. the nearest metro was La Tour Mabourg. We loved the metro as it was so easy to use but got a little confused when we interchanged with the RER trains. One day we boarded a train in the wrong direction that took us miles out of Paris, but we got off and changed platforms and came straight back. All for 1.40 euro. Ha Ha.
Have a great trip!

Thanks for your help everyone! A few more details, after reading a bunch of reviews we%26#39;ve upped our budget to approx 100 Euros/night. We will be in Paris at the beginning of October. If anyone has any further suggestions on hotels I would really appreciate it!
