Diversions on the drive from Mont St Michel to Paris

After a brief stay in the Mont St Michel area we will be driving back to Paris on Saturday July 28. We will have taken a D Day tour and toured Mont St Michel and Dinan. I don%26#39;t mind taking the A11 or the A13.

Any suggestions on where we could stop for 1-2 hours that would appeal to the entire family - two adults, two girls 15 and 12?

Was thinking of Chambord but its a little south of where I wanted to go. Wondered about Lyons le Foret?

Thanks for any suggestions

Andy

Have changed our drive back to Paris Day until July 31.

Will probably take the north route on the way back and the south route on the way there.

Any suggestions on a good stopping off point for a meal and a bit of sightseeing??

Thanks

Chambord is magnificent, but for a worthwhile stop closer to Paris, how about Versailles, or Giverny (by Vernon)? I haven%26#39;t been to Falaise, but many people like to stop there as William the Conqueror was born there. Worth looking into.
