Decent 3 star hotel.

Hi,

I am planning a trip to Paris next year, and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a 3 star hotel for about 100 - 130 Euro per night. I would like to stay as close to the city center as possible but I realise that makes things more expensive. So if its necessary we might be willing to stay in a cheaper area but not so far away that we have to spend hours travelling.

I can stay near railway stations, no problem. We are not fussy. But there will be 8 people in our group, including seniors and children so a decent staying place with breakfast is a must.

Will be grateful for any suggestions.

You should not have too much trouble finding a nice hotel near the centre at 120 to 130 Euros for a double. 100 to 120 Euros is more the budget end there but you can still get nice hotels. Don%26#39;t be too fixated on 3 stars as many 2 stars are very nice and comfortable. Do a search on the forum for budget and hotel and preferably the areas you like best eg try 4th or 5th or 6th or locality names like Marais and Latin Quarter. St Germain / 6th area tends to be more expensive but you can find nice hotels there in your price range if you look around.

Once you find an area you would like to stay in it is easier for people to give suggestions about particular hotels. If you are wanting a lot of rooms, or triples for children, you should book early. Are there any requirements for triple or quad rooms for those with children? That will make the number of choices a little more difficult. Also, when will you be visiting Paris?

thanks for your reply. Yes we might need triple rooms as well so I am looking to book early. We will be travelling in late summer next year, dates are not fixed yet. But in Italy I saw some of the good but reasonable hotels being booked a year early, so I started looking at the options.

Try Hotel Saint Louis Marais. Google it for the web site. I know they have a triple and it is in a great location.

We were very happy with Hotel Agora St. Germain in the 5th Arrondisement. From what I recall, we paid approximately 79 Euros per night in December.
