Art lovers - please read

Does anyone know if any art museums/galleries in Paris have any Henri Linguet (1881-1914) originals? I%26#39;m looking specifically for

%26quot;A View of the Conciergerie, Paris, from the Right Bank of the Seine%26quot; and I can%26#39;t seem to find any information on his work.

Thanks in advance,

Justin.

Hard to find any info on him, but the %26quot;Répertoire des artistes%26quot; of the M%26#39;O says he was born in 1849 and died in 1915, and that he showed some pictures on the Salons des Artistes Français from 1881 to 1913.

The work you mention is sold on posters everywhere, but that seems to be his only more or less well known painting.

A german auction house (%26quot;Schloss Ahlden%26quot;) sold one of his paintings for €300 last december, so I don%26#39;t think there is much demand for his work.

The ArtPrice website mentions 43 works from him (including that %26quot;View of the Conciergerie%26quot;, last sold in 1989), but to see more info and prices you need a subscription... http://tinyurl.com/yruzs2
