We will staying very close to Berthillon during our visit in November. Would love to hear your recommendations for food other than Ice Cream. Man cannot live by Ice Cream alone (but it would be fun trying!).

We have eaten at several of the small places (none stand out enough to recall the names). The one serious tip is, as in any part of the city that draws a lot of tourists, stay away from any place that has a menu in English (and there are several on the island, especially toward the Notre Dame end).

We eat at the Brasserie D%26#39;Ile St. Louis at least once per trip. 55, quai Bourbon.

Berkeley thanks for the tips of what to avoid.
I was hoping to find a charming romantic restaurant close to our apartment for the 1st night which would be a Saturday in November. I am sure the jet lag will be getting the best of me so I don%26#39;t want to venture too far from a place to lay my weary head.
Any ideas??
