museum pass question

We are purchasing a museaum pass to avoid the lines - we arrive on a Friday morning for a week. If we purchase the pass on the Fiday will it be good til we leave the following Friday?

Museum passes are purchased for either 2, 4 or 6 days. The countdown begins as soon as you start using the pass(you write the date on the pass the day you start using it) and is good for only consecutive days. For example you buy a 6 day pass and start using it Saturday morning, you can then use it Saturday through Thursday.

It is a great thing to buy. My sister and I were in Paris for 9 days last September and bought the 6 day pass. It was a great time saver as we bypassed lines in some of the museums. It also allowed us to just drop in on some smaller museums that we might have skipped if we didn%26#39;t have the pass. It also allowed us to visit the Louvre a few times throughout the week and make a quick trip into the Orsay to just see the Impressionists(we had spent more time in the Orsay on a previous visit but always love to see the Impressionists).

Hope you enjoy your trip to Paris!

You have undoubtedly considered the following, but it makes sense first to ask if the MP is necessary for what you plan to do.

We purchased two four-day and one two-day museum passes last month and then made a calculated decision to save them for next summer. The reason? We had our never-been-to-Europe niece in tow, and the combination of timing and what she wanted to see didn%26#39;t require the MP:

Notre Dame: Although the MP covers Notre Dame belltower, you still have to wait on line. We had no MP at that point, while the couple in line behind us did. We all waited an hour to go up. The MP was a waste on that score.

Louvre: We went on a Wednesday evening at 6 when the Louvre is open until 9:45. There were no lines at the teller or the machines. We purchased tickets in five minutes and walked in. No MP needed.

Eiffel Tower: MP not accepted.

D%26#39;Orsay: The line was forever but it was Fete de la Musique night; Kurt Masur was conducting and everyone eventually got in for free and watched him conduct Beethoven -- worth the wait!

Rodin, Invalides, Cluny, Pantheon: no wait.
