Avenue le la californie

We have booked an apartment on Avenue de la Californie, can anyone tell me if this is a good area to stay. If it is handy for the beach, site seeing etc. Many thanks.

Yes, why not ?

Its along the sea-front so for the the access to the beach its second to none. Buses west pass nearby so communications are not a problen either. Its a bit off-centre with regards to the core of the city.

Thank you for this information.

Quite nice area, mostly residential. At its eastern end, Ave de la californie falls into rue de France that can be walked towards the centre of the city. Lots of buses in the area. Beaches are a block away by the Promenade des Anglais.

Another thank-you to all of you, for posting and for responding. We%26#39;ll be staying in an apt on the Avenue de la Californie this October and I really appreciate the information.

A warning - there may be a problem with buses between Californie and the centre of Nice. I have been told that they do not run after 9 or 9.30 at night. Someone said they run hourly after that, but it has not been confirmed. Apart from that it is a lovely little place and extremely convenient for the airport.
