My boyfriend and I traveling to Paris in early November. I emailed Hotel Muguet but they%26#39;re booked. Does anyone have an alternate suggestion? We%26#39;re looking for a hotel that has a good location, but not too expensive - $200/night or less, if possible. We don%26#39;t care if the rooms are too small, but we would like our own bathroom. Thanks in advance!

Not too far from Hotel Muguet is the Hotel du Champs de Mars. Do a SEARCH on it here at TA and you will find many positive posts about the hotel. Check out the pictures of the hotel, too. Although we did not stay there, we know people who did and they LOVED it. It%26#39;s a smaller, clean, well-run hotel, but I believe it has no AC, which is fine because you will be there in November. However, the price is exactly what you are looking for.
Hotel du Champs de Mars is actually closer to Rue Cler than the Hotel Muguet...in fact it%26#39;s just around the corner. Rue Cler is a shopping area with several little stores and restaurants. I think you would be very happy with the Hotel du Champs de Mars.

There are LOTS of decent hotels, in nice areas , under 150 EUROS( don%26#39;t think dollars) a night.
Just because you read about one in particular ( like Hotel Mugent) either here or in a Rick Steves book,, do not despair if it is booked. I stayed at a hotel I found on this site( click on the left hand side of this page%26quot; %26quot;Paris Hotels%26quot; and start scrolling down and reading the reader written reviews) and at the time I booked it it was 115 th on list,, but now it is listed as number 60 something. The hotel has not changed,, ( hubby was there recently) but when people read about it on reviews etc all of a sudden a hotel takes an upswing in popularity.
Set your budget in EUROS,. decide what area attracts you ,, and start reading. reviews.
Good luck .

I have heard nothing but great reviews for the Hotel Duminy Vendome. It is literally steps for the Tuileries Metro stop, around the corner from the Louvre; right in the center of everything. It is a top 3 star hotel (friends of mine think it ranks up with the 4 star).
We are staying here in August. I booked through Venere. You can pull it up on many websites. Try Otel.com first. They usually offer the lowest rates on hotels and breakfast %26amp; taxes are always included.

I hope this helps :o)
