I commend you for compiling one of the better itineraries I have seen on this board!

Thanks. I%26#39;ve based it entirely on what I%26#39;ve learned through TripAdvisor. I%26#39;m still a little iffy on the day trip to Amboise, as I%26#39;m not sure if time would be better spent seeing a few more sights and neighborhoods in Paris.

Well , the reality is for only a 6 day visit, most people would consider one day trip out of city enough( which in most cases is Versailles) so yes Amboise is an %26quot; extra%26quot; .. but not unworth seeing or doing, just for a slice of town life as opposed to big city life.
It is time you could use in Paris though,, so it is up to your own interests to determine whether the time and money is worth it to you. I have stayed in Amboise( rented a car) and toured all the Chateaus in the area,, but, we had 10 days in Paris, PLUS 2 days in Amboise.

Since you are young, skip the nap on your 1st day, and take in the lOrangerie. It is close by, and it is small. The waterlilies rooms will give you a great introduction to Paris museums, without overwhelming you.
Overall, it looks like you have made a good plan. Have Fun!
