Hello,
We would be very grateful for recommendations from Paris Forum Gurus on a suitable 3 star hotel near Garde Du Nord.

Hi Peciacake
Gare du Nord is on RER line B so unless you have a very early train from GduN (ie too early to get there by RER) you could stay in the centre near St Michel and be close to the Seine in the evening. A poster recently asked about this hotel that is 700m from GduNord in the 10th if you really want to stay in the area. The prices showing on expedia in September (I saw on another post that this was when you were planning to visit) were around 125 Euros or AUD200 a night which I think is pretty steep for the area.

If you were ready to pay around that price and either take a short cab ride or the RER line E to Gare du Nord, you could stay in a much more interesting hotel called the Hotel Langlois for a similar price

If you want to see the Latin Quarter, St Germain etc at night you could try somewhere near St Michel like Hotel de Suez or other hotels nearby (but note that the Rugby season you mentioned in an earlier post is already high season without the addition of rugby fans so it might not be available). The cab fare to Gare du Nord if your train was too early to take the RER would only be around 12-15 Euros.
