Hi James

October this year is even busier than most due to the rugby in Paris but if it would help I will give you a list of websites for OK hotels in that area of decent hotels in the hope they will have availability. As you are there a week, you could consider an apartment

(you never know, you might be very lucky and if so - grab it even if it is a smaller room)

I love this next hotel (stayed there 2 years ago) but it only has 9 doubles or twins (plus 1 single) and NO LIFT for 5 floors - great location and the one on the 5th is huge with a view and only 165 Euros

Try one of these near the Gobelins metro if you have problems finding something. It is actually a great area and only about 20-25 mins walk to the island in the Seine and close to rue Mouffetard

If you are interested in looking for an apartment, you could try the agency I used last October that has an availability search by date and area - try Quartier Latin and St Germain (and try the Marais area as it is central and really good)

parisaddress.com/paris-apartment-rental/rese…

Good luck with your searching

I know locaflat has apartments in this area and we had a good rental experience with them the one time we used them about 10 years ago

there are lots of other agencies

a studio apartment is a bit nicer than a hotel room if you are there for a week -- and probably would cost less than your top limits here

I have already checked online. The Hotel Des MInes has a double available , for your dates, at 99 euros a night.

It is reveiwed onsite here so you can read for yourself.

I have stayed at it( 2 yrs ago) , and just last month my hubby and his friend stayed at it. They( as I was) were pleased with it, it is clean, well run, nice staff, good location( right on Boulvard St Michel, about 15 minutes walk to Notre Dame) , modern bathrooms, ,, but rooms are small and not much character.

Hi Jamesdoc85,

for the last seven years we have booked at the Hotel Prince de Conde, 39 Rue de Seine, 6th, close to many attractions, Pont des Arts, D%26#39;Orsay, Louvre, and right in the heart of the Latin Quarter. We are booked this October, and got a double via the hotel at 160E.

Enjoy your trip!
