I%26#39;m heading to Nice for my wife birthday at the start of November 2-4th
Just a few questions if someone can help -
1. Has anyone stayed at Hotel Le Grimaldi and what room would you suggest delux or suite?
2. Best way to get from the airport to Hotel Le Grimaldi?
3. Suggestions on places to eat out?
4. Suggestions on places to visit?
If anyone can give more suggestions or info by all means post away
Thanks
Dan

Airport to Le Grimaldi?
Easiest life is a cab which will set you back 35 euro or thereabouts. If you have better use for 35 euro, the airport express Nice coach will set you back 4 euro. The 98 goes along the front - hop off at rue Congress (after the Negresco) and you will be about a 5-10 minute walk inland. The 99 bus to the railway station is more complicated
You are close to the Zone Pietone where there are masses of restaurants - and there is a run of four restaurants in Place Grimaldi.
Places to visit? Villa Ephrussi on Cap Ferrat,
Within Nice, explore the old town, and ascend the hill of the chateau.

Have you looked at the hotel website?www.le-grimaldi.com
I always book direct with the hotel, that way you get what you ask for, balcony, view etc. The rooms look good, but only you can decide the type. The hotel is in a good area, safe at night, walking back to, and easy walking distance to the Old Town.

i have never stayed at that hotel - however i know http://www.holiday-velvet.com/nice has some lovely apartment and hotel options.
the city has loads to offer - restaurants, musuems, shops - even during the off season in November. the beaches are still open for a stroll as well! enjoy....
