Food allergies/availability of soy milk in Paris

Bonjour

I will be travelling to Paris for about 9 days in October. My daughter has severe allergies to all dairy and eggs. Does anyone know if soy milk is widely available in supermarkets, and a non-dairy spread (eg oil-based margerine)?

Many thanks!

I found soy milk in the 13e Champion foods store at Place d%26#39;Italie.

It is at most f the Chinese smal groceries also.

Sorry I was staying there and I did not look any other place for it.

non-dairy spread ? I don%26#39;t know...sorry.

Yes, soy milk is widely available in any major supermarket. We even have tons of the stuff here in Provence too.

Now, we even have the rice milk products too...

you%26#39;ll find soy products are labeled in France with %26quot;Soja%26quot; (the French word for soy, of course)

Here is a list of health food stores you might find the non dairy spread:

I like this health food store!

If you%26#39;re concerned about the margerine, triple zip-lock bag some, and bring with you at least enough to get you through until you can check out some health food stores.

I can%26#39;t eat gluten, so I travel with rice cakes and peanut butter in case I can%26#39;t find anything appropriate for breakfast. It%26#39;s not as difficult as it sounds and it provides backup.

Bon voyage.

Thanks for all the tips. Another question - is soy milk sold in the cold section with other milk or on shelves with things like powdered milk, heat treated milk, evaporated milk? We are staying in a hotel with no minibar for our last two nights...but I guess I can buy it fresh each day. Will try to bring non dairy spread but it is a long trip from Australia via Hong Kong and London. Cheers

I%26#39;ve most often seen it in the refrigerated section...but to be honest, I%26#39;ve not actively looked for it!

I *think* that there is also a margarine-type product available, too...
