We stayed last year at les Charmes de Carlucet 12 kms from Sarlat it is a fantastic B%26amp;B so much so that we went back this year for 10 nights and again came away feeling we had been somewhere special. Eric and Helen Edgar treat guests as special friends but allow you to enjoy their beautiful house with enourmous grounds and two pools. The breakfasts are varied enough for 10 days and are always fresh prepared. The hosts know the area and will point you in the right direction regarding caves castles or shopping. The Edgars children are a bonus Thomas 10 loves sport and will happily play with anyone ( I,m 59 but don%26#39;t tell anyone and we played football for hours) Emily will play happily in the pool with you or your children till the sun goes down.There many varied restaurants in the area one of which is only 5 mins walk away, Eric and Helen will point you in the right direction according to your tastes and budget, and you will often find them in the very same place having a meal themselves. Go and try it you will not be disapointed we cannot wait to go back.
