Photo of Eiffel Tower?

Where%26#39;s the best place to take a photo of the Eiffel Tower from? (Apart from right at it!)

Across the river at the Trocadero is pretty good. The tower makes a darn fine backdrop and it%26#39;s also great when it%26#39;s lit up at night.

And yes, right at it is another good spot! One of my favourite photos of it was taken from right under it - I had to lay down on the ground to take the pic otherwise I couldn%26#39;t fit it all in! Things we do for a photo!

Cheers and happy snapping!

Last week, my wife and I took a 10 pm Seine cruise. The picture of the Eiffel tower lit up that my wife took was absolutely terrific. The Vendette ship turns around just at the tower location so it makes for good picture taking.

Thanks for the suggestions - I%26#39;ll try to do both!

It is much easier to set the delayed action on the camera and lay it on the ground directly under the centre of the Eiffel. I have done this and seen others do it so you won%26#39;t have that unique shot.

However from by the Trocadero is the classic, but the shot I liked best I took from the top of the Montparnasse tower

I have several, but my favorites are from Sacre Coeur at sunset, and from the top of the Arc (several at different times of the year).

Hi

I took pictures of the Eiffel tower from various locations...in the park in front of it, from Sacre coeur, from Arc de Triomphe etc. You can see some of the pictures that I have taken on this page: gardkarlsen.com/Paris_France_pictures.htm
