swim???

Hi

Just wondering if there aRe any ebaches in paris,,,, or places to go swimming.......... any secret local spots?

Actually Paris is not near any beach so try swimming pools. One to try is Piscine St. Germain at 12 rue Lobineau, 75006, +33 1 43 29 08 15.

From 20 July until 20 August, there is %26quot;Paris Plage%26quot; - the yearly project where they make an artificial beach along the Seine river. But I wouldn%26#39;t call it a %26quot;secret local spot%26quot; - millions of people go there and it%26#39;s very busy.

Location: between the Louvre and the Pont de Sully, on the right bank; and this year also between the Pont de Tolbiac and the new floating swimming pool Paris-Est (access: metro station Bercy, line 14)

Actually piscine Saint-Germain is indoors and tiny, so not very useful if you %26quot;need some bronzage%26quot;. The official paris.fr website will give you a comprehensive list of all Paris pools, specifying the ones that are outdoors. They will likely to be crowded in the afternoons, manageable in the mornings. The %26quot;secret%26quot; spots would be:

- Piscine de l%26#39;hippodrome d%26#39;Auteuil, a bit hard to reach by public transport, but much less crowded than other ones

- Piscine du Cercle des Nageurs de Paris on the Porte Montempoivre in the 12th

- The recently renovated and great art déco swimming pool on rue Edouard Pailleron.

- The one on the porte Champerret.

But if you are only looking for sunbathing spots, most parks tolerate swimsuited sun worshippers: parc André Citroën (best one), new Bercy park, jardin de Reuilly, buttes Chaumont, La Villette, etc.

thanks so much for all the help!!!!

Really dumb question--but do the pools in Paris have lockers where you can lock up a wallet as well as street clothes, etc? Not sure how the logistics work in Paris.

Believe there is also a pool in the Marche St. Germain?
